TRAVELING AROUND VIET NAM
Getting started + Listen and read
I. Objectives:
- Introduce the theme of the lesson: traveling around Viet Nam.
- Helps pupils to read and understand the content of a dialogue and then can correct the false sentences.
II Preparation
- Some color pictures about part getting started
- Radio + tape.
III. Procedure:
Teacher’s and Students’Activities
The Content
1. Warm up:
- Teacher introduces the theme of the lesson.
- Teacher hangs on the color pictures and gets pupils to work in groups of 3 to match the places of inters in Viet Nam with their names.
2. Presentation.
- Teacher introduces the situation of the dialogue.
- Teacher reads first and gets pupils to give out new words.
- Guides pupils to give out the use and meaning of them.
- Guides pupils to read
- Pupils read in silence and then read alone.
- Teacher gives out examples, explains and gets pupils to give out the form.
- Gets pupils to take note the form of verbs.
3. Practice.
- Teacher turns on the tape and gets pupils to listen carefully.
- Gets pupils to read in silent and then read in pairs.
- Teacher listens and corrects.
- Gets pupils to work in groups to translate.
- Guides pupils to do exercise.
- Lets pupils do alone and then work in pairs to ask and answer using guess questions.
4. Consolidation.
- Gets pupils to take note all new words and form.
- Gets pupils to do more exercises using the form.
